Hi. This is my personal section of the webpage. It is a smaller percentage than the rest of the site and I apologize. The intention is to present who I am in this section but that unfortunately would take much more space than any server would alott me. As a result, I am going to give you the nickel and dime tour of Jake.

I grew up in a town in Iowa. For the most part Iowa is a farming state, but contains the occasional city. Davenport, the town I grew up in, is about 100,000 people large and is not a bad place overall. Although I have lived in Iowa most of my life, I have lived in bigger cities with different climates for 3-8 months periods for internships. I have lived in Pheonix, AZ. This is a very large and very hot city. I lived in Rochester, MN. About the size of Davenport but colder in the winter. Just recently I lived in Boise, ID. This is a neat city with a climate somewhere in between the two.

It may be noticed from the rest of the site that I am a senior in electrical engineering at Iowa State. I have spent the last four years at Iowa State. The Fall 2006 semester I will be taking classes in Taiwan and transfering them to Iowa State. I may be doing my masters degree at Iowa State, which means I could potentially be spending 7 years at Iowa State...that is more years than I want to think about sometimes.

I spend my time doing typical college student activities. I play cards, mostly poker and euchre. I am fairly good at euchre. For those of you that do not know what euchre is, it is a card game centralized to the midwestern United States and is one of the best card games known to man. I also watch a lot of movies.  I really enjoy seeing movies. I am apart of the juggling club at Iowa State. The juggling club is a group of guys that get together and juggle. I can juggle balls, rings, clubs, torches, and knives. It may sound impressive but I am not nearly the best at Iowa State. I occasionally enjoy going to the bar with my friends and meeting new people.

I hope this provides a nice, but short, overview of who I am.
